Increasing London’s ovarian cancer research

Hospital Building

London, Ont. – Media are invited to attend Tuesday, February 14 at 5 p.m., as London Health Sciences Foundation announces significant funding for Translational Ovarian Cancer Research at London Health Sciences  Centre and Lawson Health Research Institute.

Ovarian Cancer tends to avoid detection until it is in a more advanced stage than many other cancers. This makes it more difficult to treat. The funding to be announced on Tuesday will significantly boost the capacity of London’s researchers in unlocking the mysteries of Ovarian Cancer, building world-wide collaborations with other researchers, and in translating research discoveries into clinical trials for improved and new treatments pioneered in London.
