Mim O’Dowda began her collaboration with London Health Sciences Centre as the founding co-chair of the London Regional Cancer Programs’ Patient and Family Advisory Council. She attended the Intensive Seminar at the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care in 2012 and was a presenter at the 2014 Conference in Vancouver, Canada. She was the recipient of The Human Touch Award in 2014. She is a mentor for new patient advisors, and is a patient advisor with the Corporate Patient Experience Committee and the hospital Ethics Committee.
Mim’s contributions were instrumental in the design, execution and evaluation of the Patient Story Workshops. She was a member of the team to co-design the Patient and Family Advisor Orientation.
Mim and her husband Rob have been quietly involved in a number of London charities and organizations, including the London Regional Cancer Program for many years. They believe deeply in supporting their community.
