JOIN US VIRTUALLY!
NOVEMBER 23, 2022 | 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.
Join us on November 23 as we celebrate a transformational gift of $2 million that will fundamentally change and advance care for patients with multiple myeloma at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). Thanks to this anonymous donation, the following opportunities will enable far-reaching, life-altering implications for people living with myeloma and other hematologic malignancies:
First-in-Canada Technology
A mass spectrometry machine will be purchased. This analytical tool is a first-in-Canada technology and will help improve routine myeloma patient monitoring. In addition, five years of service support is purchased.
Clinical Research
A research coordinator will be hired to assist in coordinating clinical research and educational projects; grant and research submissions, study oversight, patient enrolment, grant writing, budget and scheduling duties.
Physician Extender
This pilot study will support an alternative intermediate transitional care model to bridge primary and secondary care in patients with hematologic malignancies. If effective, it will change the model of care.
