ABOUT the Archie and Irene Verspeeten Clinical Genome Centre

No two people are the same and genetic differences can mean even if a treatment works for one patient, it may not work for another.

The Archie and Irene Verspeeten Clinical Genome Centre aims to use genomic profiling to help create personalized treatment that will improve outcomes for patients with diseases linked to genetics such as cancer, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and developmental disabilities.

It is the first of its kind in Canada.
