We are experiencing extraordinary times and a truly extraordinary response from our community. The contributions to our COVID-19 Response Fund are now over $400,000!
Thank you to all the members of our community.
Funds are being deployed to purchase critical equipment and support for our front-line healthcare staff as they confront this pandemic and provide vital care to loved ones in our community. In addition, a London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) COVID-19 research team, based out of Lawson Health Research Institute, has been provided funds to urgently identify promising new therapeutic targets that will help diagnose and treat patients with COVID-19.

We are truly excited about our new online event Heroes of Health: COVID-19 Stream-A-Thon in partnership with Virgin Radio on April 16, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please join us, online, as host J Stevens (from 97.5 Virgin Radio) streams live with a celebrity roster that includes Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Mitch Marner, award-winning singer Tim Hicks, musicians Madeline Merlo and Sarah Smith, Olympic gold-medal figure skater Scott Moir, interior design star Jillian Summers, as well as a surprise special guest that will be announced on Wednesday April 15.
Participants will also get a chance to hear from LHSC’s Chief Medical Officer and Pandemic Incident Management Co-Lead, Dr. Adam Dukelow on how our hospital is tackling this healthcare emergency.
Supporting our COVID-19 Response Fund, our Heroes of Health: COVID-19 Stream-A-Thon will not only help our heroes on the front line, it will entertain, inform and hopefully continue to inspire incredible generosity in our community.
We have received tremendous support from our community through donations of personal protective equipment (PPE). If you know someone who would like to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to support our hospital, please refer donations of PPE to lhsf.ca/we-need-your-help. Questions regarding PPE donations can be directed to ppedonation@lhsc.on.ca.
