Hearts Pillows

February 13 - 28, 2026 

Heart pillows are handmade by volunteers who donate their time to play an important role in recovery for patients following cardiac surgery at London Health Sciences Centre. These small red pillows help reduce pain, support the chest during movement and make breathing and recovery exercises easier.

Each year, this program requires more than 1,200 volunteer hours and approximately $5,000 in materials. With no cost to patients, the heart pillow program is made possible entirely through community support via London Health Sciences Foundation.
