Dream Lottery supports care for patients from across the region

LONDON, Ont. - Dream Lottery makes innovative technology available - like the enhanced diagnostics possible with the breast MRIs at St. Joseph's Health Care London's Breast Care Program that benefits patients like Joanne, who attributes her smooth recovery to the coordinated and skillful team at St Joseph's Hospital.

Dream Lottery makes research possible - like the cancer studies which continue to help develop new treatments for patients like John, who at the time of his treatment at London Health Sciences Centre became just the third patient to benefit from 3D cryosurgery for prostate cancer.

Dream Lottery enhances care for patients - helping Children's Hospital create an environment that reduces anxiety for their young patients, like little Logan who visits Children's Hospital every 10 weeks for continued treatment of Hirschsprung's disease.

Dream Lottery has raised more than $27.1 million (net) since 1996 to support St. Joseph's Health Care London, London Health Sciences Centre and Children's Hospital at LHSC. These hospitals combined, receive more than 1.5 million patient visits each year from across Southwestern Ontario and beyond.

Besides the chance to support exceptional care, there are plenty of other reasons to be excited about this spring's Dream Lottery, especially the four Ultimate Grand Prize choices.

How about a unique and striking container home in Bayfield by Hillier Contracting? It repurposes eight shipping containers - along with other environmentally conscious design features like turning trees from the building lot into a fabulous staircase that leads to the home's main level. The winner could opt for the spectacular north London Bridlewood home that comes complete with a Lexus RX in the driveway and $200,000 cash. Alternatively, they could choose the Domus North Point Modern Loft Condo in north London with its open-concept, high ceilings and full-height windows that comes with $400,000 cash. The final option is $1,000,000 cash instead.

Choosing may be hard but winning is easier than ever with plenty of prizes in four early draws and two calendar draws - where winners will be announced throughout August and September.

Great ticket prices. Ticket prices are 2/$50, 6/$100, 16/$250, and 35/$500. Tickets can be purchased at participating Shoppers Drug Mart locations, at the Dream homes, online at www.dreamitwinit.ca or by calling 519-488-7100.

The 50/50 PlusTM draw is back with new ticket prices and a guaranteed payout of $250,000 with a final amount dependant on the number of 50/50 PlusTM tickets sold. Lottery organizers think a $1 million pool could be possible. The 50/50 PlusTM pool reached $857,625 last fall.

A Dream Lottery ticket must be purchased in order to also purchase 50/50 PlusTM tickets. 50/50 PlusTMtickets are 2/$15, 6/$30, 20/$60 and can be ordered at the time a Dream Lottery ticket is purchased. After buying a Dream Lottery ticket, 50/50 PlusTM tickets can also be ordered by phone at 519-488-7100.

The Final Draw sales deadline for Dream Lottery and 50/50 PlusTM is midnight, June 23. There are separate sales deadlines for Dream Lottery's VIP Draw, Early Bonus Draw, Bonus Draw and Early Bird Draw - starting with the VIP Draw deadline at midnight, April 26.
