Make a Difference Appeal
In a room with over 1,000 people, all is eerily silent. The lights are dimmed and the auctioneer takes centre stage. This is the Make a Difference Appeal (MADA).
This emotionally charged segment of the evening is dedicated to raising money and awareness for a featured cause. For 20-minutes, the auctioneer appeals to guests for their donations. In turn, our community responds with a powerful display of compassion and generosity as bid card after bid card is raised in solidarity.
In 2023 we were happy to raise funds for the Gerald C. Baines Centre for Translational Cancer Research. Stay tuned for our 2024 beneficiary announcement.
Gerald C. Baines Centre for Translational Cancer Research
For nearly 15 years, clinicians and researchers at the Baines Centre have been working to develop and incorporate advanced software tools, artificial intelligence, clinical trials, experimental treatments, and cutting edge research, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The Centre sits on the forefront of discovery, providing lab to bedside clinical trials directly to patients.
