London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) is honoured to welcome four new members to its Board of Directors this year. LHSF board members are leaders in our community who play a key role in voluntarily overseeing the foundation’s mission to link our community and health care experts together in pursuit of medical excellence at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).
The four new members include newly elected directors Tom Burnett and Stephanie Ciccarelli, and non-voting LHSC representatives Isabel Wildfong and Jeff Wright.
Tom Burnett is a Chartered Financial Analyst who has been working in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. He is currently a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy. In addition to his new role as LHSF board member, Tom is a member of the LHSF’s Cancer Care Campaign Cabinet and also lends his expertise to a number of foundation boards in London including the Grand Theatre and The Boys and Girls Club.
Stephanie Ciccarelli is the co-founder and Chief Brand Officer at Voices.com, the world's largest online marketplace of voice talent. Considered one of the most connected people in the voice talent industry, Stephanie has been listed on the PROFIT Magazine 2013, 2015, and 2016 W100 lists, a ranking of Canada’s top female entrepreneur and is also a published author and popular public speaker.
Isabel Wildfong is the board representative and former president of LHSC’s Auxiliary and the current president of the Children’s Auxiliary. She is a former school teacher who became involved in health care when she began teaching at the War Memorial Children’s Hospital as a bedside and classroom teacher, where she also joined several governance boards, including the Women’s Committee and the Auxiliary. She is a longtime volunteer in the LHSC Auxiliary gift shops, which have raised more than $10 million over the years for high-priority hospital areas such as Personalized Medicine, Mental Health Care and Women’s Health Care.
Jeff Wright is the Vice-President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Fanshawe College. He has held strategic leadership roles within the provincial government and has been the recipient of 13 Excellence Canada awards. He sits on the board of LHSF, LHSC and Lawson Health Research Institute and is a member of the London Mayor’s Economic Advisory Panel.
Stepping down from the board this year are Sue Carlyle, Elsie MacMaster, Kevin Ross and Terry Zavitz, whose many contributions to LHSF have helped raise awareness and much-needed funding for state-of-the-art equipment, innovative research, and enhanced patient care at LHSC.
LHSF would like to thank all past and present board members for lending their expertise and commitment to our organization.
